In todays increasingly complex business environment the rate of change is on the increase. Organisations are having to innovate and bring new products to market in shorter and shorter time cycles with important cost restraints. People are having to adapt to new processes and ways of working in rapidly changing and evolving structures all designed to increase performance.
Perspectives together with TetraLD has come up with a model and practical support which helps us to partner with your organisation all the way through a Change Journey. We look at how 'change ready' your organisation and employees are.... how will you get energy behind the vision, how will people manage through the 'time of difficult decisions', which product lines, processes or parts of the culture should not change, how will the tough decisions be made and communicated, to implementing the change process across the organisation and then embedding and anchoring the new behaviours or new way of working in the new culture or organisation. The support that we offer takes many forms from interviewing, strategy development, consulting, coaching or facilitating strategy meetings with the executive team, through to helping support difficult decisions with individual and team coaching, through to workshops/team coaching for those involved in rebuilding the business.
Many managers however when confronted with the task of implementing a change process or new innovation, learn just how difficult and frustrating it can be in practice. They also often realise that what looked like a realistic strategy and time plan is difficult to implement, when dealing with people with diverse interests, personalities, learning styles and varying reactions to what can often be perceived as a threat.
Perspectives for the past 10 years has been running sessions using a very realistic computer based simulation of a change project. EIS was developed by Albert Anghern at the Centre of Advanced Learning Technologies, INSEAD and is based on years of research on the core completencies that change agents should possess and the different tactics that they should use at different stages of the change process to ensure success. All of which have been incorporated into the simulation.
The simulation is rich in content, fun and interactive. It is based on a real life situation and gives people the opportunity to experience change implementation in a safe environment.
The session is often incorporated into a wider change management programme, or is part of a leadership development programme.
Perspectives also works with people through the emotional side of change.
Perspectives has run the EIS session for executives and managers for the Mannaz, Belgacom, EADS, ING, Alcatel Lucent, European Investment Bank, Pedigree Petfoods, IMD, MCE Leadership programmes, Société Générale, MACH, Stora Enso, KTH (Stockholm Institute of Technology)
